La campagne présidentielle américaine 2008 aura vu l’éclosion de nombreux clips de soutien aux candidats, réalisés par des amateurs ou des artistes professionnels.

Hier justement, un nouveau clip réalisé par Jesse Dylan (le fils de Bob) sur une musique de will.i.am des Black Eyed Peas et réunissant une brochette de stars hollywoodienne a fait son apparition sur Youtube. Les paroles reprennent l’un des discours d’Obama, Yes We Can. C’est bien réalisé, et c’est déjà un carton :

On reconnaît entre autres John Legend, Herbie Hancock, Nicole Scherzinger, Scarlett Johansson et Kate Walsh. La mode des clips avait été lancée en juin 2007 par la charmante Obama Girl, avec son refrain I got a crush on Obama, qui a fait le tour du monde et a été vue plus de 100 millions de fois :

Bien que le sénateur de l’Illinois soit apparemment le plus populaire à ce petit jeu des vidéos, les autres essaient de ne pas être en reste. Le site barelypolitical.com, qui avait produit I got a crush on Obama, récidivait en juillet dernier avec un battle entre les supporters de Barrack Obama et ceux de Rudolf Giuliani. Moins de succès que la première, mais ça reste assez sympa :

Quant à Hillary Clinton, l’un de ses jeunes partisans à casquette a récemment posté une réponse au clip d’Obama Girl :

Hillary a aussi eu les faveurs d’une ex-candidate de l’émission American Idol, Taryn Southern, dans un clip chaud comme un gâteau intitulé Hot 4 Hill. Morceaux choisis : “Hillary, j’aime tes cheveux, le tailleur-pantalon que tu portes et la forme de ton derrière. Hillary, je sais que tu n’es pas gay mais j’espère bi-lingue”. Vite, on regarde ce que ça donne :

Dans un registre semblable mais non partisan, Rapping Pizza rape une parodie sur le refrain de “Bush / Clinton”, la succession qui dure depuis 1989 et qui pourrait bien encore se prolonger 4 voire 8 ans…

Le clip “Yes we can” est en effet un grand succès viral : selon viralvideochart.com, il a été vu plus de 6 millions de fois et blogué près de 2600 fois.
